2026
Open Enrollment

for out-of-region remote team members

What’s new for 2026?

Our focus is on empowering you and your family to be well—physically, financially and emotionally—to help you and your loved ones when you need support. We’re keeping your costs for coverage as low as possible, ensuring you have access to valuable and convenient health and well-being benefits.

  • For our MyHealth360 plans:
    • Benefits coverage in the Piedmont HDHP with HSA Plan will remain mostly the same for 2026, however there will be a minimal increase to in-network deductibles ($1,700 for Employee Only coverage; $3,400 for other coverage levels).
      • Premiums: Most Piedmont team members enrolled in our MyHealth360 medical plans will see a modest increase of 2%-4% based on coverage level. Premiums for dental coverage and Spouse Life Insurance will also increase slightly for 2026; all other rates for vision, disability, life insurance and voluntary plans will remain the same.
      • ID cards: Medical, dental and vision ID cards will be digital. If you re-enroll in the Piedmont HDHP with HSA Plan for 2026, your existing physical ID card will not be valid; you must download a digital ID card or request a new physical ID card from Cigna. Existing physical ID cards for dental and vision will still be valid for 2026, unless you make changes during Open Enrollment.
      • Tobacco surcharges: Employee + Spouse coverage surcharge will increase from $75 to $100 per paycheck to align with the Family coverage amount.
  • We’re elevating our benefit offerings in 2026 to give you more flexibility and a better overall experience:
    • Lively, a new benefits partner, will administer our Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) beginning Jan. 1, 2026; this will include the ability to use your Lively debit card for dependent day care claims. If you elect to participate in an HSA and Dependent Day Care FSA, you will receive one card. If you currently have an HSA with HealthEquity, you will be able to roll over your existing dollars into an HSA with Lively in January.
    • The Dependent Day Care FSA contribution limit will increase to $7,500 per household, a 50% increase from last year.
    • Spouse Life Insurance coverage is now a standalone policy; no enrollment in Employee Life is required to elect it. For 2026, coverage will be available in increments of $20,000, up to a maximum of $100,000, with no age reductions applied to the plan. Plus, no Evidence of Insurability (EOI) will be required for any Spouse Life elections in 2026, even for those not previously enrolled. Current enrollees who do not make an election will default to $20,000 of coverage.
  • Review the 2026 Open Enrollment Checklist.
  • You must provide Social Security numbers (SSNs) for all dependents who are missing this information before the end of 2025 to avoid medical coverage termination on Dec. 31, 2025.
  • If you’re enrolled in a MyHealth360 medical, dental or vision plan, participation in Open Enrollment is NOT mandatory to continue coverage through Piedmont in 2026. If no action is taken, most of your elections will roll over for next year.
  • You must enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) if you want to have funds available for 2026.
  • Think about your Spouse Life Insurance coverage. If you’re currently enrolled and want Spouse Life Insurance coverage above the default $20,000, be sure to make a new election for 2026. No Evidence of Insurability (EOI) or Employee Life enrollment will be required for any 2026 elections.
  • Decide if you’d like to participate in Piedmont’s PTO Cash-In program, if eligible (payable in March 2026).
